Introduction

I have seen and known about many wonderful aquatic animals from school books and national geography channel. Here I am going to talk about one such aquatic animal which is really unique and amazing. It is the whale.

When you saw it / where you saw it

I have never seen this water animal in my real life. But I have seen it hundreds of times on National Geography Channel.

What it looks like

Whale looks alluring (incredibly beautiful) due to its extraordinary size and charming blue color. It looks so beautiful that our eye gets stuck on it once we start seeing it.

Explain why it is interesting

The whale is interesting due to a number of reasons. Firstly, it is the largest animal in the water animal kingdom. The average whales can be 30 meter long and their weight can be more than 180 tons. They are long lived animals. Some whales live for more than 100 years. Whales breathe air like other mammals. They are warm blooded. They feed milk to their infants and have body hair.

The most interesting fact about whale is that they tend to learn and teach things like humans. They grieve over the loss of their family members. They live in co-operation. To communicate with one another they produce sound waves. Whales are found in many parts of the world.

The whales search their food though sounds waves which is called echo-location. They produce sound waves which hit the object and bounce back and tell the exact location of their food. Whales eat all types of other fish.

So I think all these things make whales unique and interesting.
